Rice: Interpreter ("the App") is a real-time voice translation app. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
Data We Collect
- Audio data: Voice audio is streamed in real time to a third-party AI translation service for processing. Audio is processed on-the-fly and is not stored by the App or our servers.
- Purchase history: We use a third-party service to manage subscriptions and in-app purchases. Transaction data is received from Apple. We do not see your payment details.
- Device identifier: A random anonymous identifier is generated on your device to manage your account balance. It is not linked to your Apple ID or personal identity.
- Usage data: We track session duration to manage your minute balance. No conversation content is stored.
Data We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or location.
- We do not store or record any audio or translations.
- We do not use advertising trackers or analytics SDKs.
Third-Party Services
- AI Translation Service: A third-party AI service processes audio for translation. Audio is streamed in real time and is not stored.
- Payment Processing: A third-party service manages subscriptions and in-app purchases on our behalf. We do not directly handle your payment information.
- Device Verification: We use Apple's device verification technology to prevent abuse. No personal data is shared.
Data Retention
Audio is processed in real time and never stored. Account balance data is retained on our servers while your account is active. You can reset your account at any time by reinstalling the app.
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
